Hello everybody! How are you doing? After 4 back-to-back days of constant running between errands, dropping off my portfolio and business cards at various agencies + the joys of daily life and being a mom, I’m exhausted and will start off my weekend early. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be all about having fun and just taking it down ” a notch ” from what this week has been so far.

Even though it does get exhausting, going to all of these agencies and representing myself made me so proud of myself. I used to be a girl that couldn’t leave the house without holding my mom’s sleeve. I used to be a girl that was super shy and an introvert to that extent that I couldn’t even have a phone call conversation with a stranger, let alone go and “face” a stranger and even less talk to a stranger about myself and my work. I thought that I would never overcome my fear of speaking up for and about myself nor that I will know how to talk and represent myself without mumbling and not forget everything that I’ve intended to say.

Call me silly, but small victories like these make me very happy and are definitely a step forward for me. They gave me such a great boost of energy and self-confidence that when I continue with all of the business meetings and events next week, I’ll feel even more comfortable tackling them down one by one. Getting out of your comfort zone and facing your fears is the only way to move forward in life…
