Lumene cosmetics

Lumene is a Finnish cosmetics brand that I was introduced to more than 8 years ago, on my first trip to Finland. Ever since then, it was clear to me that pretty much every Finnish lady has been or is using at least one product by Lumene. Lumene cosmetics cover everything, from beauty to skincare and the high quality, always “up to date” products with a great dose of uniqueness, never disappoint their loyal customers.

Lumene was founded as part of a pharmaceutical company in late 40’s and has existed as a brand on the Finnish market since 1970. Lumene was the first cosmetics company in the world to use handpicked, wild Arctic berries refined by science. Lumene are combining Arctic nature’s finest ingredients such as Wild arctic berries ( cloudberry, blueberry, sea buckthorn, etc. ) with the groundbreaking technology to create bioactive skincare and cosmetics.

In 2013. , Lumene group’s net sales amounted to 90 million euros and is wide spread in the World’s beauty market, esp. Scandinavia, Russia and States.

I was lucky enough to receive a package from Lumene with couple of their latest “star” products to test them and I can’t wait to share my opinion with you, so let’s start right away with the review. 🙂

BRIGHT NOW VITAMIN C SERUM

Little bottle of pure goodness!! I’ve been testing Lumene products for the past three weeks and this serum has been my favourite of all of them and as well a life saver during the cold and windy days outside as it’s been lately in Helsinki.

I use this serum twice a day, once in the morning before my daytime cream and once in the evening, before the night cream. A little bit of this serum goes a long way and perfectly designed pump helps you to extract exactly as much of the product as you need without spilling or getting too much product out.

This serum is intensely hydrating and I can for sure say that it has given me a brighter and more smoother skin complexion. The serum is oil free and is formulated without the silicones. I will def. keep on using this serum and repurchase, once it runs out.

BRIGHT TOUCH REFRESHING CLEANSER

Just like it’s name says, this is a very refreshing face wash/ cleanser! I love the citrusy smell that awakes me every morning when I take a shower and wash my face. I use this cleanser twice a day and I’m very happy with how clean my skin is after washing it with this product. It’s unique arctic cloudberry seed oil promises to boost skin’s natural radiance and is ideal for normal to combination skin types.

BRIHGT NOW VITAMIN C BB SERUM

This is an incredible product! Something very unique that I haven’t tried (or seen on the market) until I received this test package. I did already mention and have praised the power of Lumene’s C serum, but this product brings the best out of two worlds, moisturising and skin plumping serum together with the BB cream which has sheer finish and leaves your skin looking more radiant. I think that this will be my “go-to” product in the Summer time.

LUMENE LIP COLOR/ LIPSTICKS

I’m a lipstick girl and I can never have enough of lipsticks sitting in my beauty cabinet. I love testing different shades and I wear lipstick on daily basis, no matter if I’m just running my errands, attending and event or having a business meeting, I always make sure to put on some lipstick. I will never forget when i was little, I used to watch my Russian grandma getting ready to go out and I remember being so impressed with the “magic touch” of a good lipstick. It’s a “must” finishing touch to any look or outfit that you’re putting on.

After opening all of the lip colors from Lumene, I got hooked immediately and so far am loving all of the shades, esp. “true passion” and “beautiful shadows”! These lip colors are so easy to apply, very precise and give a rich and intense color to my lips. 🙂
