Gourmet moment: Fruit smoothie

November 5, 2014

Good Wednesday everybody! I’m back with gourmet moment in which I’d like to share a quick and easy recipe for one of my favourite smoothies. I like to make fruit smoothies for breakfast or as a nice daytime “snack”. I always try to make the healthiest version of smoothies and load only good ingredients in them. This fruit smoothie is very much loved in my household and is equally kid and adult friendly. 🙂

I hope that you’ll give it a try and if you do, let me know how did you like it.

Gourmet moment: Pumpkin soup

October 28, 2014

Good evening dear readers! First of all – THANK YOU!!! so much for all of your amazing comments on my last post. I’m overwhelmed with such a positive response that I can’t wait to show you my new photos from the photo shoot which I had this morning. I’ve been working on editing them, so that’s why today’s post is coming bit late, but better late than never! 🙂 Can you believe that there’re only 3 days left of this massive Blogtober month!? It’s been so much fun from my side, I hope that you’ve enjoyed it as well!

One of favourite things every Fall, except layers, cozy evenings with scented candles and long walks in parks with tons of leaves on the ground, are -> PUMPKINS! I’m a junkie for pumpkin soups and I even turned my husband into a huge pumpkin lover ( he used to hate it ). Here’s a recipe for a very simple, but super comforting and perfect pumpkin soup! Enjoy!

Gourmet moment: Pizza

October 12, 2014

Good Sunday evening everyone! Believe it or not but I’m still fighting with my flu or whatever you wanna call it. I have that “sexy” no voice kind of thing going on and yucky cough. Let’s see how long this will last for as I’m avoiding any medicines and antibiotics and only sticking to the natural medicine such as litres of hot green tea, lemon and honey.

However, I did find some energy to make a pizza from scratch. After all, what’s a weekend without a slice of delicious pizza?!

Gourmet moment: Tzatziki dip

October 7, 2014

Here’s to the Tuesday and another Blogtober post! I’m so proud of myself for sticking to everyday posting, esp. since I’ve been dealing with so much for the past few weeks and for the past week we’ve experienced flu, ear infection, eye infection and fractured collar bone ( my daughter )… I don’t wanna start sounding too negative, but I just couldn’t believe that so much bad luck can happen in such a short amount of time. Blogging every day and reading your comments makes me very happy and keeps my mind focused on the good “stuff” 🙂

Gourmet moment : Chantarelle soup

October 3, 2014

Hello my dear readers! I’m so glad to see that you’ve liked my yesterday’s post so much and one of the things I’ve forgot to add in facts about me is that I’m very passionate about cooking. That relaxes me and also boosts my creativity. 🙂

In today’s post I’d like to share with you one of my favourite soups in the world and that’s a mushroom soup. Mushroom season is now ON and what’s better time of the year to prepare this heart-warming, comfort soup?

Sunday afternoon at Kabuki

September 28, 2014

Hello my dear readers! How are you doing? How was your weekend? After a really tough week, I was in a serious need of a good “pick me up” and what’s better way to make your mood much better than over a nice lunch with nice people?

I went to one of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Helsinki with my sister and her boyfriend. This restaurant used to be my go-to place for so long, but the owner has changed now 3 times and I haven’t heard good reviews of Kabuki after that 3rd owner took over. Then they’ve been on a break since April this year because of huge plumbing renovation of the whole building and finally they’ve opened their doors two days ago and I just had to go and test the menu before I make up my mind if it’s still going to be my favourite restaurant or not.

My life lately via Instagram

March 30, 2014

Good Sunday morning everyone!! We had the time/ clock change early this morning and that always messes me up a little bit, but since we are now counting one hour ahead is much better for me than counting one hour less during the Winter time. I can’t wait that the daylight gets even longer because in Helsinki, the closer it goes to Summer, the day seems to last forever and I love it!

My Instagram daily life

March 2, 2014

Hello everybody and hello Sunday morning! I’m up early ( like as if I usually wake up late being a mom 😀 ) and I’m soon about to head out to the cinema with my little princess. I love our little tradition of mommy-daughter cinema time with a side of popcorn. Small things in life… 🙂

I had a major tooth problem two days ago, half of one tooth just fell off and I had to go in yesterday and get it taken care of and put the filling. It was pretty painless ( thanks to anaesthetics and great dentist ) but I did get to know that I have other few teeth that are in need of taking care of, so I will be going to the dentist again this coming week… Oh my, March couldn’t start better :D!

1st of December + Instagram diary

December 1, 2013

Happy 1st of December everyone!! I’ve had one of the best weekends and I’m so happy right now. Yesterday, my sister and her bf were over for lunch at my place and today we went to great restaurant Tori in downtown for lunch and our bellies ended up being full of delicious food. I can see that the rest of December will be pretty much like this: food, great company, Christmas lights, ornaments and spirit everywhere you go 🙂

I just can’t wait to put up the Christmas tree which I usually do around 6th of December which is also a Finnish Independence day.
