If you’ve been following my blog for a while, then you might be aware that I have moved three times inside the past two years. Last year was absolutely crazy because I have moved not just cities or countries, but a whole continent away from Helsinki. Now I’m back here and it’s going to stay like that for some time, I’m sure of that. π
Prior to moving away to LA last year, I have decided to donate half of my stuff and sell all of my furniture. I was lucky enough to find 1 buyer who needed pretty much ALL of the furniture that I’ve been selling, so I got rid of all of it and have stored away only few things which I was eventually planning to ship to LA.
Finding a perfect home in LA wasn’t that easy, but once we’ve found it, we had to buy pretty much all of the furniture that we have just sold back in Helsinki, from tables and chairs, to beds, book shelves, vanities, etc. Once that was all bought in and the place was completely decorated, we have already decided that we’ll be leaving back to Helsinki and had to go AGAIN through the process of “getting rid” of the furniture and home decor… Call a fool’s luck or something, but once again we have found that 1 buyer who bought almost everything and the rest we gave to a less fortunate friend as a present.
After returning back to Helsinki, we’ve been moving around from hotel to another hotel, to Croatia for holidays, to summer cottage in Finland and finally into a new apartment. By that time, I was already so “over” any home decor, buying furniture and such… I was just happy to have a functional kitchen, toilet and a bed to sleep on. I couldn’t have been bothered by decorating the apartment ( and that is something that I LOVE to do ). It took me a long time to start decorating bit by bit and make the apartment look like a home and not like a half empty space that will be soon abandoned again.
I’m still not near half-way done with the home decorating project but I’m happy with each little piece of furniture or decoration that I buy because I have thought of each of them carefully and have bought them with a very good purpose in mind.
Something that made me make my bedroom look nicer were posters from Desenio, a Swedish based company, established 6 years ago which is now slowly, but surely growing strong on the home decor market. Their wonderful, artsy and inspiring posters are a cherry on top or in this case on the wall in my bedroom. π I have chosen 4 different posters and two of them ended up above my bed, whilst another two are waiting for my home office to “arrive” so that I can put them up on the wall too.
All of the posters can be bought in different sizes, starting from the smallest one 13x18cm to the biggest in size 61x91cm. The delivery time is between 3-8 working days.
I will def. make another post once my home office is ready and then you will be able to see these two posters “in action” as well!
If you wish to shop via Desenio for a unique home art, do itΒ HERE!!

Aren’t you glad that you will stay a while at the same place? I moved a year and a half ago , what a stress! Lol.
Yep, I am! Right now I’m also getting back into the mood of decorating home and buying in the furniture, etc.
Up until now, I was “so over it”! π

Hvala Ivana! Pozdrav! π
I could not get a connection earlier to make a comment. Your bedroom looks lovely. But does your new home have an enormous walk in wardrobe/closet for your clothes collection?
My blog is being merged with my pr/ talent agency, that’s why there have been and might be some
interruptions this week. Thank you for the compliment and nope, I don’t have a walk in closet.
I’d love to have one, but my apartment is too small right now to fit in a walk in closet. π
great post!
