Mother’s Day with Pandora

For the 8th year, I’m preparing to celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend… 8 years ago I was blessed to become a mom to the most beautiful, special and smartest little girl! 8 years ago, my whole world changed, life as I knew it got a whole new purpose. Becoming mama to this angel shaped me into a woman I am today.

I was always the biggest joker around, I was always an A student and I have always been there for everybody, but in reality, I have been very insecure, often sad and anxious dreamer which on top of it all never perceived myself as “feminine”. Maybe I wasn’t ready to grow up or because of being so tall and slender, I have always joked that I look more like a teen boy than a gracious woman.

Everything changed when I have become a mom… So many clicks have clicked and I have finally started to see that a woman has  replaced that “teen boy” and that this woman had nothing to be afraid of or insecure about, because this woman was just perfect as she was… With all of the imperfections…

After 8 years, I have learned that my little one looks up to me every single day. She takes after me, my behaviours, my ways of thinking, my ways of expressing myself. She sees her mom as her hero and I have a huge boots to fill every single day, but oh how proud I am to try to fill those boots?! To have her look up to me, to have her see me and tell me that I’m the most beautiful woman and that she wants to look and be like me someday, heals the cracks of any and all insecurities I’ve ever had about myself.

#dopandora is a movement that celebrates strong, empowering, multitasking yet gracious and vulnerable women. I can’t express my happiness and gratitude for being part of this brilliant campaign and being able to present Pandora’s rings, necklace and earrings the best I could. This is also how I want my daughter to see me as, strong but soft, feminine woman, dreamer and a doer…

To have something very special and intimate as a present to myself and Lara for this Mother’s Day, I have chosen to have HER photograph me and Pandora jewellery, the way how she sees me, through her little eyes…
