Make a difference

March 13, 2018

Making a difference in every single day is something I’ve had on my mind a lot lately. How to make a difference in a day, at home, at work, outside on the street, in the community… What can I do to make this world a better place? What can I do to make a difference which will inspire at least one single person to take an action and want to make a difference too?!

My daughter came back home yesterday from school with a task to talk to her family about pollution and what we can do to make a difference. She was very much into this theme so I took time, sat down with her and went through some bullet points regarding the pollution and what are those small changes that we can make to better the current situation.

This all made me realise how we’re always thinking so “big” in terms of making a difference, be it in the world pollution matters, how well we do our work or whatever it may be. Somehow we always think that in order to make a difference we all need to be Mother Theresa or something, when even herself told long time ago that she cannot save the whole world, but that she can start from where she is, with what she has and hope that it spreads out.

That is SO TRUE! Such small things can make a world of difference. Just my daughter’s short list regarding preventing the pollution was enough for me to see how small things/ differences piled together actually make an impact and ultimately a big difference in our lives.

True, you don’t have to right away think “big picture” or that something takes a lot of money, time, etc. but you can think small steps and eventually end in that big picture where you can turn back and see how long way you’ve come!

This applies to absolutely everything in your life from the relationship with yourself to your work habits all the way to what you do on daily basis to making a difference in this planet by being more aware and educated about what’s going on and how you can help too.

Have a great day ahead my sweet readers!

This is so true babe, sometimes we think that to make a difference we need to do something massive but big big change actually starts with small steps, and doing something that you might think is small, can impact someone else greatly, and so on and so forth! That’s how we change the world right? Plus if everyone was to do make small changes, that leads to one big change!

Love your gorgeous outfit, the sneakers with the dress is so cool!

Completely agree with your line of thought here!
It’s very important to start small.
Because that way you’re atleast starting instead of just moping around waiting for miracles to happen.

Lovely post hun. Setting too ambitious objectives can very often lead to discouragement and disappointment. Objectives should be SMART and setting small achievable targets in most cases have better chances of success. Every little thing helps. You look incredible xx

Love the look <3 And good on your daughter for thinking about such things in a world where it's vastly needed. I've been on the brink of thinking we needed to be, as you say, Mother Theresa, to make a change in the environment, but small steps are definitely better than none.
