Travelling… Something I’ve been a “fan” of since the first trip I ever took and it was when I was only few months old. 😀 First trip which I clearly remember was when I was about 8-9 years old and have travelled to Moscow, Russia with my mom and sister to visit our Russian family and relatives.

My mom always said that I was the easiest kid to travel with because you could literally “pack” me into a suitcase and send me off anywhere and I’d be happy! I was such an explorer since the early age and even though I have travelled a lot in the past 29 years, I still haven’t seen even a glimpse of what I want to see around the world.

Each time I get a chance to travel I feel so happy and privileged. It doesn’t matter if I’m travelling to a destination I’ve already been to or to a new place, I never come back home as “same” person as before the trip. Not travelling is like reading the same page of the same book over and over again and as somebody who gets SO inspired by the places I travel to, I would “die in spirit” without taking trips every now and then. If I have one big wish for this year, it would be to travel as much as possible and esp. to the places I’ve never been to before.

I have a friend who travels twice a year to a completely new destination and most of the time she travels alone, so she’s a proof that when you really want to explore and see the world, you should just go and do it! Do not wait for somebody else to join you or for everything to “align” perfectly so that you can go on a trip you’ve been dreaming about.

This all being said, as somebody who loves to dress up, I believe that it’s possible to stay stylish, comfy and feminine even when travelling. The outfit I’m showing you today was my travel day outfit on my recent trip to Croatia. I love anything velvet, so this red dress was a perfect little piece to style my outfit around. 🙂
