Happy Spring everybody!!! It surely doesn’t feel like Spring is yet in Helsinki, but we’re getting there, we are.. π I’m super excited about finally being able to pull out lighter clothes from my closet, ditch the Winter boots for many months and start planning all sorts of outdoor activities that I love to do in Spring, such as picnics in the city parks and long strolls all over the city or by the beach.
You might be wondering what does the title of this post even mean?! Superesse means “to survive” in Latin and when you think about that word, it’s such a powerful word. It awakens so many feelings, memories, fighting spirit… At least that’s the case with me!
New week is here and I love the “freshness” that each Monday brings! π How was your weekend? What did you do? I had a relaxing weekend spent with my friends, walking around the city, enjoying the sunshine which finally arrived to Helsinki, went for a dinner date with 3 kids being part of it and have loved every moment of it! I have possibly drooled over my friend’s new bag and I have possibly purchased one too… π
Just like Sia sings in her latest hit song, I feel unstoppable today! End of the last year, just before my trip to Croatia I have felt completely “squeezed out”, as if I’ve done and gave everything I had and there was no “juice” left in me anymore. Taking a month long break from almost anything and everything and a change of scenery did wonders for me. Ever since I came back two weeks ago, I’ve been feeling very inspired. I feel that I got my drive back and an aura of being unstoppable seems to be surrounding me every day!
Hello from the other side! π Since my last outfit post, I have arrived to Croatia for work and holidays. I have already visited Split and Zagreb cities, worked on some cool collaborations, met friends and have enjoyed the sunshine as well as an amazing food! Croatia, esp. these two cities have an incredible food scene and prices are very affordable comparing to what I’m usually paying in Helsinki for the same kind of meal.
Good Monday morning everybody!! How are you all doing? I hope that the Winter didn’t strike you as cold as it did here in Helsinki. Almost over the night the temperatures have dropped down for 7-10 degrees and we also got the first snow. Even though it melted away really quickly, it was still nice to be reminded that there’re only 4 weeks left until the Christmas. Yesterday was an opening of so called Christmas street in the city centre, when all of the Christmas lights and decorations were put up and the whole city now looks incredibly charming and festive!
Good morning my dear readers! I hope that this week has been going well for you and that wherever you are the weather is in full Autumn’s bliss! π I can’t believe how fast it gets dark over here in Helsinki?! Each day seems to last shorter and shorter. Driving home yesterday around 4 pm felt as if it would have been 8pm instead. When the weather is gloomy, days are short and we’re all lacking colors around us, I try to not forget that it’s more than welcome to throw on some colorful clothes on before leaving my home.

Ding-ding! Alarm wakes me up at 7:15 am. I’m having hard times to open my eyes and get out of the bed. “Oh, but you do need to wake up Nata, otherwise the little one won’t make it to her kindergarten in time.” Darn it, ok, I’ll get up, just that I first check through Instagram a little bit. π After two reminder wake up calls, I finally get up and storm off to the kitchen to make breakfast, wake up the little one, get her ready for the kindergarten and wish her a great day as she takes off. This is how all of my mornings start during the working week. Do I even need to mention how much I appreciate laid-back and no alarm clock weekends?
Autumn? Is that you? Most definitely yes and I’m loving it! The most beautiful Autumn that I have ever experienced in my life was here in Helsinki. Last year’s Autumn was simply magical, the whole city was covered with gorgeous Autumn colours and it was a pure joy to walk in the city’s parks and pick up the fallen leaves, bring them home and then use them as a DIY for home decor, painting project with my daughter and similar.
Fall is definitely in full swing here in Helsinki! I’m more and more often waking up to rainy mornings or walking back home in the evening while the rain is “washing up” the city’s streets. As much as I love my sunshine and relaxing time by the beach, I also love the feeling of freshness and new beginning that the Fall brings. I don’t know how or why but I suddenly feel so much more creative, focused and find it easy to take on any work task. How about you my readers? Do you like Fall and why?
