Good Friday everybody! The beginning of this year didn’t start off as productively for my blog as I have hoped for it. Being sick for this whole week and on a strict bed rest, I haven’t had time and energy to produce anything. I’ve been just laying in bed, being super sick and miserable, making only one “trip” out of the bed and it was to the toilet and back.
Good Sunday morning everybody! How are you doing? What are your plans for today? In case that you’re starting your day slowly and have some time to spare, I invite you to meet a new guest on my blog as part of my new section “Sunday cafe” ( read the previous post here ). Meet my lovely friend Rita, a fellow photographer, wonderful young woman with bursting positive energy and an addictive laughter. I call her a Hilary Duff’s twin sister. ๐
I’m not sure how many of you have watched or remember the legendary TV series “Cheers”? That little cafe where “everybody knows your name”? Yep, that’s how I feel each time I step inside of Yume restaurant, as my second home, place where everybody knows my name and every time I come there, I know that I’m up for a special treat. Ever since discovering Yume’s fusion flavours bringing us the best of tastes of Asia, I have been a devoted fan of their kitchen and vision. After following through their 4 menu changes, I can only say that they’ve been getting more and more inspiring with the selection of dishes on the menu and the way how they get the best out of each dish is still unresolved mystery to me. ๐ How can they deliver at all times with all of the dishes on the menu? I mean, their sides are equally mind-blowing too.
Good morning dear readers! How are you? Are you happy that the last weekend of August is here? Can you believe that the Summer is pretty much over and that we’re only 2 months away from Halloween? How crazy is that!?! Yep, time flies and my calendar filled up means that everybody/ everything is back in the business and it’s time to start making some plans for the final months of this year.
Good Friday or shall I write FRI-YAY everybody?! ๐ I’m bringing you yet another” 5 for Friday” post. I’m kind of glad that this week is going to it’s end, the beginning of August caught me off guard and it was kind of a weird week, lots of work and errands, too little sleep and missing a good weather.
If you do follow me on Instagram, you have probably noticed that I’m back to Helsinki. The temperature/ weather difference came to me as a shock, it’s at least 10 degrees less than in Croatia and it’s been raining like crazy for the past two days. If it continues like this, I can kiss my “olive skin” tan away. ๐
Anyways, Croatia was amazing, the sun, sea and people made my soul and heart filled with happiness and gratitude. I didn’t knew how much I needed to recharge my batteries until I have arrived there and on the very first day have realised that all I wanted was to sit by the sea, in peace and just “be”.
My dear readers, whenever you can, go and travel, you will always return back home a different person than you were before you left on a trip. Travelling always makes you richer and gives so much closure on some things that are so important as well as make you dismiss those that are of no use/ good for you anymore.
Here’re few photos to roundup the final days of my trip. It’s FRI-YAY and I’m happy for the weekend to be here, some quality time will be spent with my daughter and close friends.
Have a great weekend sweethearts!
Situated in a small bay of Zecevo, between cities Primosten and Rogoznica, Hotel Life is an ultimate destination for a private getaway from all of the noises and rush of the city life. While the hotel is perfectly tucked away and has one of the most beautiful sea views I’ve ever witnessed in my life, it is still only a short car or bike ride to either of two mentioned cities in which you can get anything you might need, some souvenirs as well as visit some heritage places such as church of Our Lady Of Mercy, chapel of St. Rocco, metal museum/ shop – crafts and souvenirs made out of different metal parts. Very nearby are famous Babich fields where the best wines come from. You can take a tour of Babich vineyards and learn more about the vinery and how the wine is being made.
While in Rogoznica, you can discover some more architectural gems, big marina and as well a natural phenomenon, salt lake called “Dragon’s Eye”.
Hotel has it’s private indoor and outdoor pools, but one of the most “raw” and untouched beaches with the clearest sea is right in front of the hotel.
Besides vicinity of many amazing and traditional restaurants in Primosten and Rogoznica, Hotel Life has it’s own restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. For lunch and dinner you can choose whichever dishes you like from their a-la carte menu. Menu is traditional, based on authentic Dalmatian cuisine with a bit of modern twist.
Hotel Life is a 4 stars, family run business and a lot of care and thought has been put into decoration of the hotel, esp. it’s bedrooms. I loved the fact that all of the rooms were very spacious, modern and had some of my favourite beauty products by Rituals as their toiletries. Rooms are varying from superior room with a sea view to the Presidential apartment of 90m2 which could be a perfect honeymoon suite for instance. ๐
If you wish to have a relaxing and pampering day at the hotel, it’s very much possible by visiting it’s Finnish sauna or Turkish steam bath as well as taking a massage at the Spa.
One thing which I was very impressed with that all of the staff was very welcoming, pleasant, fully skilled and has met all of my wishes and needs. As somebody who has travelled a lot and have stayed in many different hotels, I find it very important to be happy with your accommodation and hotel’s service. When you’re on a holiday, you want to feel relaxed, safe and welcomed and that is how I felt staying at Hotel Life.

Good morning dear readers! This Friday I wanted to write a bit different kind of post. Five things that make me happy lately. When it’s cold and dark outside for many months, it’s easy to feel bit lethargic, unmotivated, etc. I have tried to “cope” with the Winter the best way I know of, by surrounding myself with things and people that make me feel great, give me the drive, motivation and an over all great feeling when I’m with them or doing those, mood lifting things.
Hello my dear readers! I hope that you’re enjoying this beautiful and (in Helsinki at least) sunny Sunday! I have a small announcement to make in case that you’ll be visiting Helsinki soon or maybe even live here.
