5 for Friday

Good Friday morning my dear readers! Did you have a good week? I love Fridays, they’re always a “mental sign” for me that relaxing weekend is just around the corner, meaning also more time to do fun things and more one-on-one time with my little one. The only thing that was bad about the week so far is the dreadful weather… That kind of chilly, super windy, stormy and rainy, all at once kind of weather. The one in which umbrella doesn’t serve the purpose and the only shoe of choice are my Hunter boots.

Seems like the Fall is already over in Helsinki and we’re about to enter the Winter… Good thing is that the holidays season is SO close and soon the whole city will be beautifully decorated and lightened up, etc. which makes it easier to deal with pretty much no-existing daylight and sluggish feeling of constantly lacking energy. Yep, that’s the Nordics Winter time life for you my dears!

Enough ranting about the weather, I have still this day to go through a busy schedule before I can totally relax and indulge in Saturday and Sunday activities, so I rather get going now.

Here’s a weekly roundup of things which I’ve been loving this week/ am looking forward to and some of my favourite shots from my Instagram profile.

1.) FOOD & BOOK FAIR

I’m about to start getting ready to visit Food and Book fair in Helsinki at Messukeskus. It’s my favourite of all fairs ( duuuuh ) and I’m going there with a friend as a blogger and to support another friend who will have his cook book presentation. He will also do a dish at demo kitchen, so I’ll be able to try my favourite Lebanese sweet dish – Knefe! YUMMMM!!! 2.) LEONARD COHEN – You want it darker

New album by Leonard Cohen is to die for… Pure love, rejuvenating treatment for my soul… My perfect “me evening” with some candles lit on, Leonard’s new album, glass of red wine and being all snuggled up by my big bedroom window, watching the rain fall… Oh my… It always takes me on a spiritual trip so to say. Leonard is one of the old timers, so precious to the music, poet, art world that I can’t be more happier and thankful to him for still making such a magical and inspiring work.

3.) ORIBE – GOLD LUST

I’ve been to the hairdresser last week and this whole week, I’ve been loving my hair, it’s been looking so healthy and was super easy to manage. I totally forgot about Oribe hair products and how much I’ve loved them previously, so I bought their Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner which I haven’t tried before and I LOVE them! I know that it takes time to use a certain product to see the real improvement/ change, but I see it already, my frizzy, always a “bad hair” day is nothing like that atm! Def. do invest in a good haircare product, you won’t regret it. 🙂

4.) HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

It’s that time of the year!! Love it or not, but Halloween is hard to avoid and not give in to celebrating it, esp. if you have kids. My daughter loves the idea of dressing up and having a costume party with her friends, so I’m more than happy to give her such experience and join in the party. 😀 Of course, there are parties in town for adults too, but I find the kids’ parties much more fun, more spontaneous and will always choose those over “alcohol and costume” party in some bar. Me and my daughter will be Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad. 🙂  What are you going as for Halloween?

5.) YAYOI KUSAMA @ HAM Helsinki

Have you heard of extraordinary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama? If you haven’t please do check out more about here from this link and if you happen to be in Helsinki, stop by Helsinki Art Museum to check out her brilliant artwork and installations, it will blow your mind away! I couldn’t believe that I would love her Infinity room so much! So inspiring!
