5 for Friday

Good Friday or shall I write FRI-YAY everybody?! 🙂 I’m bringing you yet another” 5 for Friday” post. I’m kind of glad that this week is going to it’s end, the beginning of August caught me off guard and it was kind of a weird week, lots of work and errands, too little sleep and missing a good weather.

My little notebook in which I write down at least one good thing/ something I’m thankful for on a certain day does help me realise how every single day “counts” and that it was filled with a few small miracles/ things that made it much more special than what I’ve realised. It’s incredible what kind of perspective you get about your daily life after you start writing down small things that made you happy that day. Try it if you haven’t, you’ll be surprised how much there is to be thankful for.

This Friday I’d like to share 5 little things (read in Finnish at the bottom of this post) that made me happy/ entertained this week:

  1. My Instagram account

My Instagram account has been growing slowly but surely and the engagement is being stronger and so inspiring each day. There’re some wonderful, beautiful and super talented young ladies out there which inspire me on daily basis and interacting with them via my Instagram account makes my day that much better and even more productive. On the other hand, I just ADORE taking 4-5 photos each day of things and people that I encounter on daily basis.

2.  My favourite food

I don’t have any secret obsessions or addictions but I do have one “public” one. 😀 I am totally addicted to sushi and I could never EVER get tired of eating sushi. I did have a chance to eat some of the best sushis in the world as well as I had tasted some of the worst ones and there is a huge difference between a good, great and really bad sushi. Thankfully enough, one of the best places in the world to get my sushi fix is in my own city, so I’m always looking forward to getting myself sushi-overdosed at Yume. <3

3.  Taking long walks

Whenever I can, I’m taking long walks… Not strolls, but proper 9-12 km long walks in the nature or by the sea. There’s nothing that can make me feel as “in tune” as spending time in the nature and a long, zen like walk. That’s my time to clear out my mind, get my thoughts straight and get a better vision of my goals and future plans.

4.  Hanging out with my daughter 

Yep, this might sound silly to some but I simply LOVE spending time with her. She’s my little best friend and the brilliance of her mind always blows me away. I’m always so impressed by how much little 7 year old knows and is capable of soaking up everything that’s going on and surrounds her every single day. She’s starting school in less than a week and I’m so excited about that! I also can’t wrap up my head around a thought that I’ll have a first grader… Where did the time fly?? It feels as if I was just finishing my school not that long time ago and now my daughter is already starting hers.

5.  Spending time with friends 

There is a true power behind spending time with your friends! As much as I love spending time with my daughter and being all sucked in into her kid’s world, I also love spending time with my friends in adult conversations. After almost 29 years, I can say that I’m really happy with my few, but really dear friends that I don’t see on daily basis and don’t spend nearly as much time with them as it’s simply not possible when you’re an adult with “million things” going on each day, but when I do get together with them, it’s always a wonderful feeling. I always leave our dates feeling happy, chill and hopeful, if that makes sense. 🙂

Oikeen hyvÀÀ Perjantaita kaikille. Esittelen teillÀ jÀlleen yhden 5 asiaa Perjantaille postauksen. Olen tavallaan onnellinen siitÀ ettÀ viikko lÀhenee loppuaan. SillÀ Elokuun alku on saanut minut hÀmilleen, sillÀ tÀmÀ kulunut viikko on ollut outo. Paljon töitÀ ja tehtÀviÀ, mutta samalla liian vÀhÀn unta ja hyvien kelien kaipuuta.

Minulla on muistiinpanokirja johon kirjoitan ylös ainakin yhden hyvĂ€n asian / jonkun josta olen kiitollinen lĂ€hes pĂ€ivittĂ€in. Se auttaa minua tajuamaan sen ettĂ€ kuinka tĂ€rkeĂ€ jokainen pĂ€ivĂ€ on. Ja sen ettĂ€ se oli tĂ€ynnĂ€ pieniĂ€ “ihmeitĂ€” / asioita mitkĂ€ tekivĂ€t siitĂ€ paljon erikoisemman, kun alkuun tajusinkaan. Se on uskomatonta ettĂ€ miten erilaisen nĂ€kökulman saat kuluneesta pĂ€ivĂ€stĂ€si. Kun alat kirjoittamaan ylös niitĂ€ pieniĂ€ asioita, jotka tekivĂ€t sinut iloiseksi pĂ€ivĂ€n aikana. Kokeile vaikka, ellet vielĂ€ ole. Tulet yllĂ€ttymÀÀn siitĂ€, ettĂ€ etten miten paljon on asioita josta olla kiitollinen.

Haluan tÀnÀ Perjantaina jakaa teidÀn kanssa 5 pientÀ asiaa, jotka tekivÀt minut onnelliseksi / viihdyttivÀt minua menneen viikon aikana.

1. Minun Instagram profiili

Minun Instagram profiilini on kasvanut hitaasti mutta varmasti. Ja sen mukana tuoma vuorovaikutus (ihmisten kanssa) on vahvistunut. Ja se on pÀivittÀin todella inspiroivaa. SiellÀ on joitakin mahtavia, kauniita ja lahjakkaita leidejÀ, jotka inspiroivat minua pÀivittÀin. Ja vuorovaikutus heidÀn kanssaan Instagram profiilini kautta, tekee minun pÀivÀstÀ niin paljon paremmaksi ja jopa tuotteliaamman. Ja toisekseen, RAKASTAN ottaa joka pÀivÀ 4-5 valokuvaa, asioista tai ihmisistÀ joihin törmÀÀn pÀivittÀin.

2. Minun lempiruokani

Minulla ei ole mitÀÀn salaisia riippuvuuksia tai pakkomielteitĂ€, mutta minulla on yksi “julkinen” pakkomielle. 🙂 Olen tĂ€ysin riippuvainen sushista. En voisi ikinĂ€ kyllĂ€styĂ€ sushin syömiseen. Olen saanut maistaa mailman parhaita susheja, Olen myös maistanut maailman huonompia susheja. Ja se ero hyvĂ€n ja huonon vĂ€lillĂ€, on tĂ€ssĂ€ tapauksessa todella huomattava. Mutta onnekseni yksi maailman parhaista paikoista missĂ€ voin tyydyttÀÀ sushi himoni, sijaitsee kotikaupungissani. Odotan aina innolla sitĂ€, ettĂ€ pÀÀsen syömÀÀn sushi Ă€hkyt Ravintola Yumessa.

3. PitkÀt kÀvelyt

LĂ€hden aina kun vaan voin pitkĂ€lle kĂ€velylenkille… ei mitÀÀn kĂ€ppĂ€ilyĂ€, vaan kunnon 9-12 km matkoja maastossa tai meren lĂ€heisyydessĂ€. MikÀÀn muu asia ei saa minua niin balanssiin, kuin se ettĂ€ viettÀÀ aikaa luonnossa ja pitkĂ€ zen henkinen kĂ€vely. Se on se hetki jolloin selvitĂ€n ajatukseni, ja saan paremman mielikuvan minun tavoitteistani ja tulevaisuuden suunnitelmistani.

4. ViettÀÀ aikaa tyttÀreni kanssa

Yep, tĂ€mĂ€ saattaa kuulosta joistakin teistĂ€ vĂ€hĂ€n höpsöltĂ€. Mutta minĂ€ RAKASTAN viettÀÀ aikaa hĂ€nen kanssaan. HĂ€n on minun paras pikku ystĂ€vĂ€ni. Ja hĂ€nen mielen nerokkuus saa minut aina haukkomaan henkeĂ€ni. Olen aina niin vakuuttunut siitĂ€ ettĂ€ kuinka paljon 7 vuotias voi tietÀÀ. Ja ettĂ€ kuinka paljon hĂ€n pystyy imemÀÀn itseensĂ€ kaikesta mitĂ€ hĂ€nen ympĂ€rillĂ€ tapahtuu pĂ€ivittĂ€in. HĂ€n aloittaa koulutaipaleen alle viikon pÀÀstĂ€, ja olen siitĂ€ todella innoissani! En myöskÀÀn pysty kĂ€sittĂ€mÀÀn sitĂ€ ettĂ€ minun tyttö on nyt jo kohta ekaluokkalainen… Mihin se aika on pujahtanut?? Minusta tuntuu siltĂ€ ettĂ€ minĂ€ lopetin itse vasta Ă€skettĂ€in koulunkĂ€ynnin, ja nyt minun tyttö aloittaa jo omansa.

5. ViettÀÀ aikaa ystÀvieni kanssa

SiitĂ€ saa paljon voimaan kun viettÀÀ aikaa omien ystĂ€vien kanssa. Niin paljon kun rakastankin viettÀÀ aikaa oman tyttĂ€reni kanssa ja imeytyĂ€ hĂ€nen lapsen maailman syövereihin. Niin rakastan myös viettÀÀ aikaa omien ystĂ€vieni kanssa, kĂ€yden aikuisten keskusteluita. Voin sanoa melkein 29 vuoden jĂ€lkeen, ettĂ€ olen todella iloinen minun muutamista mutta sitĂ€kin rakkaammista ystĂ€vistĂ€. En nĂ€e heitĂ€ pĂ€ivittĂ€in, enkĂ€ vietĂ€ heidĂ€n kanssa lĂ€heskÀÀn niin paljon aika kun minun pitĂ€isi. SillĂ€ se ei ole mahdollista silloin kun olet aikuinen, ja sinulla on “miljoona hoidettavaa asiaa” pÀÀllekkĂ€in pĂ€ivittĂ€in. Mutta aina kun nĂ€en heitĂ€, siitĂ€ tulee mahtava fiilis. Ja poistun lopuksi aina paikalta onnellisena, rauhallisena ja toiveikkaana. 🙂

    I love jotting down thoughts, poems, jokes, prose etc into a note books. Have done for as long as I can remember. And when it came for me to clear my Dad’s study; discovered he had done the same. I treasure them, along with my Mum’s sketch books of her dress designs.
    9-12km walks are certainly benifitial to body and brain.
    I do these lengths on Sundays with a walking group.

    That is such a great idea to write one things down each day you are thankful for. I LOVE sushi too although I don’t eat the raw stuff, so maybe it’s not true sushi. Ha! I’m ready for it too cool off a little here so I can walk outside more.
