Hello from the other side! 😀 Since my last outfit post, I have arrived to Croatia for work and holidays. I have already visited Split and Zagreb cities, worked on some cool collaborations, met friends and have enjoyed the sunshine as well as an amazing food! Croatia, esp. these two cities have an incredible food scene and prices are very affordable comparing to what I’m usually paying in Helsinki for the same kind of meal.
Talking about the expenses and such… I’m not impressed with the whole Christmas craziness that’s pretty much EXPLODING as we speak. I just see that people are manically buying everything and anything that their eyes can see at the stores. I feel as if people don’t get it that “things” are not what makes you happy, that’s not the point of the whole Christmas spirit and life does not end after Christmas. It actually continues and there’re another 365 days to live through… All of these endless ornaments will be stored away in about 2 weeks from now. The amount of food prepared could easily be cut in half or even more because everybody seems to overeat for a few days and then start a “super promising” new diet and green juice cleanse because – new year – new me! “Let’s shed the pounds together! Summer is around the corner!” Sounds familiar? Yes, that’s how usually magazines and internet are bombing us right after the New Year starts.
I’m in a completely different mood this Christmas… To be honest, I couldn’t care less about the Christmas tree, decorations, food, etc. I’m thinking of baking something for people I love and bring it to them as a present, I feel like doing some charity… I also know that singing some songs, watching a Christmas themed cartoon with my daughter and going for a walk or to the play park is the best gift that I can give her. I know that she’s still so little and “needs” her gifts under the Christmas tree, but I think that you get the point ( and hopefully an inspiration ) by now. 🙂
After eliminating the urge to buy things and fall under the unnecessary Christmas celebration pressure, I’m off for a walk by the sea side and am looking forward to meeting some more of my dear friends on this Monday morning! What are you up to today my dear readers?

I had not seen your hair like this. Very stylish. It is not that short is it? I just saw on the news that people in the US spend thousands of dollars door Christmas. I love Christmas and i love to spend a bit more money than usual but thats outregious. I think. I wish you and youre daughter a great time in Croatië.
That was my point too Nancy! I love Christmas and I love to buy presents ( small, but from heart ) to people that I love, from family to friends, but I can not understand the thousands of dollars or euros spent per family on Christmas !! It’s just too much and the real Christmas is completely lost then because the focus is material things and not feelings.

Your blog and insta are full of you bragging about all the clothes, bags, food etc you buy and luxury travels. You might not be buying cheap crap from China but you ARE wasting money dear, don’t kid yourself into believing you’re not materialistic AF.
I’m not materialistic person because things DO NOT buy happiness nor they give you the life that you want and I’m not clinging onto anything that I “own”, but I am a person that loves life, works hard and likes to treat myself and people I love unique experiences if I can. My blog and Instagram are not the places where I brag about anything, in fact, most of the photos are snapshots of my own hometown and it’s corners such as parks, unique buildings, etc. All of the material that I share with my readers is to inspire them, show them that the beauty is everywhere in everything! I’m sorry that you seem to have problems with the way how I spend my money.
Oh dear, i don’t care how you spend money! Just don’t pretend you’re not materialistic if all your clothes and purses are high end brands and you blog about them and tag them in photos! If you keep a fashion blog then own up to it! Besides, i’m only here for the thinspo! 😉

Što se tiče Božića, ja još nisam kupila praktički nijedan poklon i nimalo me ne lovi histerija oko toga, ali sam zato ove godine više nego ikad uživala u uređivanju stana, naprosto obožavam sve te blagdanske dekoracije i da mogu, imala bi po jedno drvce valjda u svakoj prostoriji haha 🙂
Puno ti hvala draga na divnim rijecima i komplimentima, bas si mi podigla raspolozenje koje mi danas nikako nije “kako treba”.
Saljem ti puno pusa i pozdrava, vratila sam se iz Zagreba i bas mi je zao da se necemo vidjeti vjerojatno prije ljeta…

Love what you said about Christmas not being about buying anything and everything in stores. In the US, it is the focus of most people from November until Christmas Day. Many Americans actually stand in line at stores on Thanksgiving Day! It’s becoming too much.
Anyway, I love that bright red blazer. It’s so bold and elegant at the same time. I also like how your outfit has a vintage feel with the sheer blouse, wide-leg trousers, and round sunglasses, yet it is still modern with the structured handbag and buckled ankle boots. Love this look!
