Perfect timing… Is there such thing as being in the right place at the right time? I used to believe that there were those “perfect” moments in life that I had to wait for to happen. Those perfect moments, once they happen, my life will make more sense, wishes will come true and everything will fall into place like a perfect Tetris game bricks…
As the years passed by and I have been through a lot in my life ( when I say a lot I really mean a LOT ), I got to realise that there is no such thing as “perfect timing” or “perfect moment”. Whole life is made of small, perfect moments and whatever is not timed perfectly is what is worth remembering, because most of the times, the more we go out of our way to make things happen, the more we push something in hope to find that perfect timing to do, to breathe, to live, to travel, to create, to get married, to have kids… The more those moments are unreachable. It’s as if the more you’re striving to have those perfect moments, the more they slip away from your palms.
As a perfectionist, chasing those perfect moments was something I have strongly believed in, but more and more I have learned to back off, work hard for my dreams to come true and believe that everything comes to me in the time frame of when it’s supposed to come. I will do my best to be prepared and hopefully live through that perfect moment, timed perfectly, not by myself, but by the higher power… There is a greater plan and purpose for all of us than what we are aware of. Also, the more we are stressed about timing things perfectly and waiting for that perfect moment, the more we’re loosing the magic of those small, truly perfect moments which sling by unnoticed. While we’re waisting time concentrated on that one big moment, which no matter how perfectly we time it, it will never happen, because life happens NOW, life IS now… Live… Love… Dream…

Totally love and can relate to everything you wrote about in this post & you’ve put it so beautifully! Trying not to get hung up on a moment being perfect can be tricky when you’re a born perfectionist and I know exactly what that feels like and I too used to think that there’s a right time/reason for everything and to a certain extent there is, but also life is for living and sometimes you have to just enjoy it and see where it takes you!
