No quick fixes

Good, sunny Monday to all of you! After couple of really apocalyptic weather days, I am happy to welcome this Monday with a sun and clear blue sky. I tell you, small things… It’s about the small things people, they really do make a difference and big impact in your everyday life, pay attention to them. 😀

I have also marked a 10 years of living in Finland! I still can’t believe that this many years have passed by and that I would have stayed here for that long. 

Basically, my whole adult life I have lived through in Helsinki. It’s amazing and shocking at the same time. I have this love/hate relationship with Finland and I have no idea when and where I’m off to next, but I do think that no matter what happens in my future life, Finland will always be and have a special place in my heart.

Now, before I get all melancholic and such, I’m jumping to the title of this post. No quick fixes! Yep, I just don’t believe in any quick fixes, EVER, be it from just a small thing like “quick fixing my shoes” to bigger like “quick fixing your car” type of situation. Nothing good can ever come out of quick fixes. Yes, you can mask or patch up things that are broken or not functioning but you can’t hold the patches for too long as the quick fix is good for a short term but it’s never an answer to fixing the root of the problem.

The more quick fixes you’re using, the more problems you’ll have to deal with. Think about it this way, 1 quick fix in reality means 5 time more trouble and bigger issue you will have to fix in the end. Save yourself time and nerves and don’t fool yourself that quick fixes will get you anywhere in life.

Quick patching up of your relationship(s), finances, whatever you want won’t ever result in desired outcome. Your life is in your hands, you control everything consciously or unconsciously, so next time you’re onto something that needs fixing in your life, don’t choose or settle for quick fixes.
