Touches of red

Touches of red make a huge difference in any outfit. I feel like touches of red especially work well in my outfits as I find the colour quite flattering to my skin tone. I also find that touches of red make me feel very confident, feminine and give me the right dose of “girl boss” attitude. 🙂 Red (and any shade of red) has always been one of my favourite colours, no matter what’s the time of the year. 

If I’m not wearing any, I do “touch up” my outfits with the red lipstick. I feel like girl can “conquer” the world wearing red lipstick. 🙂 In today’s outfit, my touches of red are quite many, from a really cool bag strap to one of the latest additions in my closet – this beautiful blouse by Rixo.

Rixo is a London based designer name which I’ve come across couple of months ago and have constantly fell in love with. While Rixo is still a small designer name, they have already placed themselves quite high on the fashion “world map” as well as in some of the biggest fashion insiders’ and influencers’ closets.

I was so happy to receive my blouse and couldn’t wait to wear it but since the fabric is so light and it is from Spring collection, I had to throw over a heavy faux fur coat. I thought that the combo looked great so I’ve decided to style the rest of my look in a glam chic manner. Do you think that I did it well?

Dressing up in the Winter while at the same time living in cold and dark Nordics can be quite tricky and challenging. While I definitely have my days when I don’t feel like dressing up much and most of my outfits consist of 3 layers of black and grey clothes, shoes and bag I make it my priority to not fall into Wintertime dullness and not be creative with my daily outfits. Winters are much “brighter” when wearing colours or for example, having some touches of empowering red. 🙂

Red is colour of love, passion, wilderness, stamina… I love to see touches of red in my life and in my closet. 🙂
