Peko by Rodea: His and her outfit

Peko by Rodea? Haven’t heard of them yet? Well, they’re just a rebranded, legendary shoes brand which I grew up with. I remember vividly going to the Peko store together with my mom and getting all excited about trying on and buying a pair of shoes. 

I also remember that back then, Peko shops staff were the best, the most kindest, knowledgable and helpful ladies which always made me feel like “I matter” and that I’m not just a kid getting a pair of whatever shoes but that I’m a little human worthy of a nice, comfortable and well made pair of shoes. 😀

As I’ve been living in Finland for the past 11 years, I haven’t been that much going to Peko and in the meanwhile it had changed the name into Peko by Rodea. I was bit confused by the name change and wanted to check out the shops and see if it’s still the same Peko as I remembered it or if it’s a completely new company. 

It happens to be that it’s a bit of both, mix of the best of features of “old Peko” with the new day version of it powered by Rodea a Croatian company which was very passionate of saving Peko shops once they weren’t doing so well and went for a sale couple of years back.

I was very happy to realise that Peko haven’t changed that much after all, the same amazing quality shoes were plenty as for the women, as well for the men too!

Peko now supplies many Croatian little shoes brands as well as some bigger international brands such as Panama Jack, Ara or Rieker. I’m thankful to Peko by Rodea for being so kind and letting me choose a pair of shoes of my own preference. I was looking for a new pair of boots to add to my shoes closet this Autumn and a beautiful pair of Ara boots was the answer. It’s as if they were waiting for me to pick them and bring them home with me. They are “horse rider” like boots, come just under the knee, they’re very simple but the leather is so smooth and of a great quality.

My brother got to pick a pair of shoes for himself too and after a super friendly and professional help from the Peko store manager, he had picked a pair of Rieker sneakers. Store manager mentioned that he has tested the same pair of sneakers and that he doesn’t want to take them off ever because they’re so comfortable. 😀 

If you find yourself visiting Croatia, look for the Peko by Rodea shops to do some great shoes shopping. They have 13 shops in 11 cities which are all also strategically located in the very centre of those cities.
