How to wear culottes

Before I continue with couple of more posts about my trip (holidays) to Croatia, I would like to throw in this Summery outfit in the mix. I have returned back to Helsinki and I must say that I was afraid if I was going to experience a big temperature shock since the difference in the weather is huge and we’re talking about a whole 20 Celsius degrees less than it was in Croatia during my stay there.

Even though I couldn’t avoid the fever which came “as expected” from the climate change, I have been happy to experience some lovely, sunny days in Helsinki too. As you can see from this outfit, some of the days were/ are so good that I got to wear some of my favourite Summer-time clothes such as these floral culottes!

How to wear floral culottes? Let me see… I’m a huge fan of wearing skirts and maxi dresses in the Summer but in my mind, culottes were somewhat always a Fall or Winter piece of clothing. After finding this pair of floral culottes at Zara, I couldn’t resist buying them and I must say that I’ve been wearing them all the time ever since. 😀 Perfectly high waisted and in colors which match well with the most of the clothes and accessories in my closet.

I’d say that floral culottes like this pair are easiest to pair with a simple t-shirt or cami and neutral sandals, but I would also encourage you to challenge yourself and try to style them with some more colourful pieces and stack up on the jewellery too! 🙂

I love culottes! I wear them a lot to work in the spring and summer and also love denim ones in the warmer months as opposed to a full length denim. These are just so fun and look great on you!
