Good morning dear readers! How are you? What did you do over the weekend? Mine was very short in terms of free time and relaxing, but I don’t mind it since it was a very creative and productive weekend! I have also managed to spend some quality time with friends and that is always a wonderful bonus.
I was a guest at a food photography workshop yesterday. It was held at my favourite cafe in the city, Kuppi ja Muffini ( Cup and Muffin ). It was very inspiring and motivating to spend 4-5 hours in the same room with many creative ( and as well foodie ) people! I can’t wait to share all about this with you in one of my next posts.
This week will be a very busy one with tons of work since I’m quite behind with it due to the “never-ending” fight against the flu/ virus which now seems to be defeated for the time being. I have realised how nothing else matters or can be done properly when you’re sick and esp. when your kid is sick at the same time. All that matters in that moment is how to get back to your normal, healthy and energetic self. I used to be different when I was younger. I thought that everybody is supposed to “save” me or “cater” me when I’m in pain, sick or having problems and ending up being quite disappointed when realising that it’s not the way how the world functions. I got so used to the idea that if I’m everything to everybody and always on demand, that it’s going to be the same other way round when I need somebody. Well, now I’m bit older, wiser and I know that being your own lioness is the best feeling in the world! Sure, you can’t do everything yourself and you shouldn’t, but you shouldn’t either expect that the world is supposed to save you and give you the help or feeling of empowerment that you might be waiting for. It’s up to you to be your own hero, to find a way and solution for yourself, whatever the problem might be.
Getting rid of the flu and getting my “power” back is something I’m very thankful for and I can’t wait to put all of this energy into a good, creative use. ๐
