Mini get away in Sibenik, Croatia

Good morning world! I’m back from my trip to Croatia and am ready for a new working week. I’m just writing a quick post before going out for a photo shoot, so I’ll write/ post more later today or tomorrow.

If you’ve been following me for more than a year, most possibly you know that besides living in Helsinki for the past 6-7 years, I have been living most of my life in Sibenik, Croatia. It’s a small city on the Adriatic sea coast and I always visit it at least twice a year. This time I went there just to see my mom and brothers and spend 4 days with them. I felt that it would do good to all of us, so I’ve packed my bags and flew there. It was lovely to spend some time in the city where I grew up in and show my daughter around and also meet some of my old friends. It’s like a walk down the memory lane 🙂

I took some Instagram photos on my trip and even though it wasn’t super eventful, I’d like to share them with you, in case that you’re planning your Summer holidays and would like to visit a new, inexpensive but stunning and historical destination 🙂

One of the highlights of Sibenik are definitely his St. Jacob’s cathedral that is under the protection of UNESCO, 4 fortresses, hidden beaches, National Park Krka and Kornat as well as SO worth the visit Pelegrini restaurant, one of the top 3 restaurants in whole Croatia.
