I seem to have some deep thoughts gather twice a week, usually being Monday and Thursday. Between working a ton, sleeping nothing and still fighting with my health and flu that doesn’t seem to wanna leave me, I seem to have hard times in shutting my brain off.
I’d like to make my mind sometimes to “give me a break” or go on a silent, no tone and no vibration mode. While I’m happy and often very proud of being so productive, inspired and living my days with a healthy working brain tubes, here and there I have moments when I feel that if I could just shut it off sometimes, I’d feel much better and rested after putting it “on” again.
Anyway, not to bother you too much with my silly brain flow and whatnot, I wanted to bring the subject of being overeverything! Yep, that’s not even a real word, but my point here is that I feel that we live in this crazy modern world where we have to be everything, know everything and always be available! Over-worked, over-achievers, over-tired, over-informed, over-sensitive, over-fillinwhateveryouwant.
Do you feel the same as me? Are we all becoming more and more over-everything puppets that just live in a sea of too much information, too much to do and achieve, too little time to feel and “see”, too little time to actually LIVE and not just chase all the work, to-do lists, always being informed and everywhere and nowhere at the same time?
Most of people that I know, myself excluded (because I never really have holidays) live from one holiday to another, from vacation period to another vacation period. I see that those are the only moments out of 365 days a year that people get to relax a little, shut off their phones and laptops and actually forget about the work and chasing materialistic stuff and do concentrate more on each others and feeling life instead of just rushing half thought through it…
I could go on for a long time about this subject but that would be too much reading material on a random Thursday afternoon, but do write your thoughts in the comments, I read them and appreciate them a lot!

I get what you mean, that we consume so much information that it feels like it bombards, rather than informs us. Sometimes we don’t really have any idea of how much of that information is true fact either! I think that besides vacationing, I think that experiencing something first hand that really moves you or puts you into a new state of mind is refreshing. For example, going along to a cultural event, live music or some sort of live performance, can submerge you for a little while in a new experience or culture. I hope that makes sense!! I find that going along to something like that can be rewarding, because it switches off the doubtful or confused thoughts in my head, because they are so moved to something new I have seen and heard. Either that or going for a run or yoga class!!
Anyway, I hope you feel much better soon!

Good for you for taking time to take a mental break. All successful people will tell you that in order to work hard and be productive you need to take time for yourself.
I am looking for someone to collaborate and guest post with if you’re interested 🙂

Yes, deinately. I feel like that many times. But, I have learned to try to un-stress when necessary and wind down, shut off totally and relax. Love that denim jacket. Have a great weekend. xoxoxo

I really the same way as you do. So many information so little time to think and do. Going on vacation is a nice idea to give our brain some time to relax and then start over again. By the way, nice glasses.
Love this casual outfit! I have these sneakers and they are THE BEST! Soooo comfy! I really love the bag – I’m gonna have to check that out!
