Yumetastic dinner

March 2, 2017

After a short break, I’m back with a new review in my cycle of “Visit Helsinki” posts. I have to admit that at some point I felt fed up with those (this coming from a true foodie and bon vivant sounds silly :D) and taking a short breather was just what I wanted and needed. I got ecstatic writing this post and bringing back the reviews of new and interesting places to visit in Helsinki as well as revisit some of the all time favourites.  Continue Reading…

Visit Helsinki: YUME-tastic

September 7, 2016

I’m not sure how many of you have watched or remember the legendary TV series “Cheers”? That little cafe where “everybody knows your name”? Yep, that’s how I feel each time I step inside of Yume restaurant, as my second home, place where everybody knows my name and every time I come there, I know that I’m up for a special treat. Ever since discovering Yume’s fusion flavours bringing us the best of tastes of Asia, I have been a devoted fan of their kitchen and vision. After following through their 4 menu changes, I can only say that they’ve been getting more and more inspiring with the selection of dishes on the menu and the way how they get the best out of each dish is still unresolved mystery to me. 😀 How can they deliver at all times with all of the dishes on the menu? I mean, their sides are equally mind-blowing too.

Visit Helsinki: Yume love

July 6, 2016

yume14

There is a saying that love goes through stomach. I can absolutely confess that I did let my heart skip a beat or two each time I ate great food. I’m thankful for being able to explore different cuisines and restaurants in the past and esp. throughout the last year. I could have never believed that I could fall for some food so much that I just had to keep on coming back over and over again for more. 🙂

Visit Helsinki: Yume

November 12, 2015

If you know me at all by reading this blog and by checking my Instagram account, you might have concluded by now how impressed and in love I am with anything Asian, esp. Japanese food, language and traditions. After travelling around the Europe and US, I have experienced wonderful Japanese/ Asian fusion restaurants, out of some have Michelin stars, but little did I know that I would get so positively surprised by discovering some real gems in my own hometown, Helsinki.

5 for Friday

February 17, 2017

Good Friday everybody! It’s the end of the working week and I must admit that I’m happy for the weekend to be here. This week was a very busy but thankfully, productive one. I didn’t sleep much, had still fights with my health issues but I did my best to block the stress as much as possible. Right now, I feel that my girl boss senses are “giving up” and I’m gonna embrace the laziness and indulge in some quality “me time” over the weekend.  Continue Reading…

5 for Friday

November 18, 2016

Friday always seems to come faster than I’m ready for it! They say that the older you get, the days seem to fly by in a blink of an eye and I… I have to agree with this theory. I can’t believe that end of the year is here and that we have experienced the first snow already AND the festive season is in it’s full swing! Pre-Christmas parties are taking place “left and right”, the city has been decorated in Christmas ornaments and lights… Some people have even put up their Christmas trees!!
