Good Easter Monday everybody! How is your long weekend going? I hope that you ate well, got some rest and that you had a chance to spend quality time with your family and friends. I have and it did set me up for a good start this week. There’s a lot of work to be done and many errands need to be taken care of, so no time for procrastinating known as daydreaming in my case. 🙂
Yesterday was the first day of “Summer time clock” change and it did messed me up well, but I feel already more “in tune” today. Yesterday has marked some kind of “internal” clock change too. Finally I got a feeling that I woke up from a long Winter’s sleep and that I have now much more energy and drive to do things, make bigger and longer future plans… I feel that every Easter and esp. the clock change bring me the resurrection that I’m eagerly waiting for as the Winter approaches it’s end. I know that usually when people do make big changes and resolutions it’s in the beginning of the year, but for me, it is in Spring. When the nature starts to wake up and sun starts to shine more often, I do the same… I feel more awake, my thoughts are clearer and a sincere, spontaneous smile is more often “appearing” on my face. 🙂
I’m now officially starting with the Spring cleaning too and instead of just focusing on my closet or home decor, I’m also focusing on Spring cleaning my life… I have done very well with this in the past couple of months and I can see that it has started to bring back the benefits of meeting and welcoming new and interesting people into my life, new work projects, new creative ideas, etc. It’s wonderful how amazing things can be once you clean out the shit out of your way, be it just a messy corner at your home that you’ve been postponing to clean for a long time or closing the doors to one chapter of your life and letting go of people and things that no longer do you well.
Here’re the things I’m letting go of this Spring:
-my own fears
-need to explain myself to others
-attachment to things or past memories that don’t do me any good
-living life to other people’s expectations
-resistance to change
-need to impress others
-making excuses rather than decisions
-need to be right
Have a great start of the week dear readers!

That sounds like a great list! Good luch with it????
Thank you Nancy!!
A lovely long list of the stuff we do not need in our lives, Natali. But do not rid yourself of that gorgeous scarf. it is so pretty.
The colour blue suits you so, as do reds. And that grey coat looks nice and snug and warming.
Awww! Thank you so much!!! The coat was a great investment, it payed off already so many times.
I promise to keep this scarf in rotation too, esp. since I love scarves and since it’s always a great accessory
to give that “special touch” to any outfit. 🙂
You look amazing 🙂
NEW POST : THE COLORFUL THOUGHTS
Thank you Nada!! :*
This is such an inspirational post and have read it twice already. And will dip into it again, from time to time.
Apart from my oven not working; getting soaking wet yesterday ; I did spend quality time with friends.
I hope you and your family are having a lovely Eastertide.
Awww!! Thank you Jo! You always put a smile on my face with your comments, I appreciate them a lot and
thank you for always engaging in the conversation/ discussion too!
I’m sorry to read about your oven ( just “perfect” time for it not to work, eh?! ) but it sounds like you did had
great time with your friends despite getting rained on. 🙂
Beautiful writing Natalie. Good luck with your new projects, may they be spiritual or professional!
Cheers,
T.

Thank you so much Tatjana on these words, you’re so kind!
Super post.
A zato ga nisam mogla nigdje naći 😀
Hvala ti draga moja Matea! Ciscenja su bitna u svakom smislu i ja svoja nekako uvijek onako dubinski “odradim” svako prolijece. 😀
lovely!!!

Thank you Lauren, I like it a lot too! 🙂
What spectacular details in this outfit. I love the idea of letting go for spring — especially letting go of living your life the way others want you to. I’m guilty of this so often — I push myself to do more, be more and in the end it always makes me feel like I’ve lost myself. It’s weird but I find the more I ignore what others are doing, the happier I am and yet I almost never do…
Time for a spring rebirth I think!

Heh! This is as if I’m reading my own words! I hope that both of us will find an effective and permanent way to
get rid of stuff and people that don’t “serve” us anymore… The longer we hold on to them for whatever reason, we
only end up hurting ourselves more.
Ooo you look so good, I love that scarf

Thanks! I fell in love with it immediately when I saw it at the store.
What a beautiful list and rather universal. I am going to clean out fear, past beliefs and attitudes that no longer suit me, and excuses instead of decisions.
Thank you and great coat!

Thank you Pippi for stopping by and commenting! I’m glad to read that this post was helpful. 🙂
I love that you’re Croatian raised, I’m Bosnian born 🙂 I like this post quite a bit because it’s important for all of us to let certain things go from time to time. It’s not healthy to do a lot of them all the time, especially explaining yourself to others! You must live life for yourself! xx adaatude.com
Well hello neighbour! 😀 I have many Bosnian friends!
Great words that you wrote up here… So true, live the best you can for yourself and those who like you
will always stay near, those who don’t, they’ll “move” away and that’s how you’ll know who are those people
worth your time and effort.
Such an inspiring post, i can totally feel the postive thinking in it <3
