Hah! What a quick change from just a week ago when I wrote about gloomy and rainy weather in my previous “5 for Friday” post!?! We got first snow in Helsinki and that marked Winter’s arrival! As if I wasn’t already unprepared for the cold weather, 1st snow got me by surprise and even though I had almost twice slipped and risked a bad fall on the ice, I do love the fact that the sky had cleared up, some sun came out and I got to see a proper daylight after a while…
What are the odds that while visiting middle of North Europe, Helsinki, you get to experience the charm and romance of Paris? It is possible at restaurant Pastis! Authentic Parisian vibe, delicious food and coziness of the restaurant’s decor could be easily misplaced with any place in Montmartre for instance. Our sweet hostes Camilla told us that there are many Pastis named restaurants in Europe ( in US too, for example in NYC ) but there is only one Pastis in Helsinki and it’s a must visit place.
This blog started years ago as a fun place where I’ve been just sporadically publishing my outfits with almost no text at all or just a few lines and additional photos from my everyday life, but nothing too “constructive” or with any other point than having some sort of online diary and leaving it to the Internet universe to discover my blog and engage or follow if people wanted to. I didn’t put much thought into this whole “blogging” thing up until 2 years ago when I have come to terms that I care about this blog too much to let it go and that I want it to be more than some online diary which is just out there, in the sea of 1 million other active and nonactive, similar blogs.
Good Friday morning my dear readers! Did you have a good week? I love Fridays, they’re always a “mental sign” for me that relaxing weekend is just around the corner, meaning also more time to do fun things and more one-on-one time with my little one. The only thing that was bad about the week so far is the dreadful weather… That kind of chilly, super windy, stormy and rainy, all at once kind of weather. The one in which umbrella doesn’t serve the purpose and the only shoe of choice are my Hunter boots.

I love layered outfits, period! As much as I’m a sucker for Summer, bare feet, messy hair, simple tee and denim shorts on, I’m equally loving more complex and layered outfits. Usually, this far into Fall, I live in layered outfits. If I can stay warm while being stylish, that’s a double score in my books! 🙂
Oh my… Birthday week of celebrating and being so overwhelmed and on the go, surrounded by so many friends ( and people in general ) on daily basis got to me… My energy is officially running low atm. 😀 I still have so many cool things and outings planned for this weekend and I’m totally set on taking Monday and Tuesday as my “pampering days”. 😀
No niin. 😊
Let’s start with the “champagne popping” announcement – I’M 29!! Happy birthday to me! Yeee!!! Now that we’re over with that egocentric crap, let me continue this post on a more meaningful note. I know that there were ( and will be ) many similar posts with thoughts on turning 29 around the net, this last blissful year of a “20-something” but I still wanted to write my own post with some reflections… No matter how many similarities there might be in these kind of posts, I think that everybody has lived different kind of life and therefore I find it that everybody has something to “add” of their own…
I’m a girl which never takes a break… I will always keep on going at all costs. Heck, sometimes I don’t even take a break to cry and have a proper “breakdown” moment, but I deal with everything on the go or by swiping it “under the carpet” until I can, at some point, deal with it.
I just ride, ride and ride, I succeed, I fail, I get disappointed or I get proud, about myself or about people which I encounter… But I feel that I never take a proper moment to just “be” and process everything that’s happened, good or bad, people which I’ve met, etc.
Good Saturday my dears! I’m a day late with my usual Friday roundup but I wanted to still put out a favourites post, so I’m sharing them on this Saturday morning and hoping that you’ll like it as much as my other “5 for Friday” posts. 🙂
