Visit Helsinki: KÄMP hotel

How to impress a local girl in her own city? How to lure a girl out of  the comfort of her own home and make her feel like a “million dollar girl”? Take her to one of the most prestigious and luxurious hotels in whole Scandinavia, put her in a Premium Deluxe room while having the best staff pamper her by being highly skilled, welcoming and meeting all of her needs!

Nope, that wasn’t a dream, I actually did get all of this and so much more by staying at historical Kämp hotel, located in between two most important streets in the city ( Aleksanterinkatu & Esplanadi ), while overlooking my most favourite park in the city, the Esplanade park.

125 years of long and rich history, this 5 star hotel has always been a favourite venue for meetings and events, while it’s kitchen is of a high standard and meets all of the different food preferences, from an indulgent and healthy breakfast, best burger and club sandwich in the city at Kämp Brasserie to the most delicious Asian food that you can taste in whole Helsinki by visiting restaurant Yume. 

Premium Deluxe room that I have stayed in gave me the ultimate comfort, spaciousness, wonderfully layed out working space, big bathroom with choice of bathtub as well as shower cabin with Elemis cosmetic products to use as you wish. Corner’s armchair with a mini ottoman was a perfect spot to curl up in the morning while drinking my hot chocolate and checking through e-mails. Flat screen TV was easy to use and I could get to watch all of the channels that I was interested in. One thing that made me fall in love with my bedroom even more was the fact that it was 100% decorated in the fengshui way. Everything was just in perfect spot and I guess that was also one of the reasons why I have slept so well at Kämp. 🙂

Upon waking up the next morning, I couldn’t wait to experience the breakfast buffet because I’ve never tried it before and I have only heard praises around the city that Kämp has an amazing breakfast and that it’s a very popular brunch place for locals as well as the tourists.

From the fresh fruits, pastries, jams, fresh bread basket, cold cuts platter, smoked salmon, yogurts, nuts, mueslis to fresh juices, omelettes and pancakes, breakfast options truly don’t get better than this!! Sitting by the corner window, while the city just waking up, Christmas street lights being lit on while snacking on my pain au chocolate made me feel as if I was completely somewhere else and not in the heart of Helsinki, my city, place where rarely anything feels anymore so fresh and exciting as experiencing hotel Kämp did!

If you need a special beauty treatment or a massage, you can do that by visiting Kämp Spa where professional personnel will take care of you and make you want to come back. It has been voted the best luxury day spa in Finland by World Luxury Spa Awards for this year, 2015. Hotel offers a possibility to use the gym, as well as have a meeting or a seminar in a lounge, boardroom or for example a royalty looking like, mirror room!

What else to add, than that every single corner of Kämp hotel left me simply speechless… I have traveled the world, I have stayed at some of the best hotels too, but Kämp completely swept me off my feet and have offered me so much more than what I’ve expected to find inside the “building” which I walk by every single day.
