3 ways to instantly feel better

April 10, 2018

How to instantly feel better? I have 3 easy ways which always make me feel better. Just before Easter I was feeling very good about myself, my work flow was steady and I would wake up with a very positive attitude each morning. I took some time off to just chill during the Easter but somehow I fell into a “funk” and couldn’t seem to get out of it for the most of the past week.

I knew that I was in a need of a quick “feel good” medicine and I have 3 bullet proof ways to lift my spirits up and instantly feel better. Whenever I notice that I’m getting more anxious about my daily life, normal tasks take me extra time or effort to complete or when I’m just “down” for no specific reason, I realise that it’s time to do something about it.

My ways to instantly feel better are:

  1. PUT ON A FULL ON MAKEUP/ OUTFIT – Yep! I know that a suit doesn’t make a human more or less worthy but there is some kind of magic in getting all dressed up and looking bit extra dressed up than you are usually. When I look good, I also feel good. I know that to some, this might sound too vain but it’s not like that. Somehow red lipstick, fave pair of shoes and a bit more dressed up outfit are my natural self esteem boosters and give me more confidence to deal with anything on any given day.
  2. SMILE AND MAKE SOMEBODY SMILE – Here we come to that genuine, heartfelt moment of instantly feeling better without much effort. Just smile more people, I swear to you that a smile a day can change the world. Whenever I’m down, I try to remind myself to just smile for no specific reason and find happiness in the smallest of things. When I do that and esp. when I just smile to a random stranger and get a smile back, my, at first “forced” smiles are flowing naturally for the rest of the day. You guessed it right, my mood has shifted and I’m instantly feeling better. There is nothing better than giving a smile and making somebody smile. By making others smile, you make your day better instantly too.
  3. GET OUTSIDE FOR A LONG WALK – This is my ultimate advice on how to instantly feel better – go for a walk! Yes, stretch your legs a bit, breathe the fresh air, clear out your thoughts and spend some time surrounded by the sea views or beautiful greenery of the forest. It’s good to be by yourself, with your own thoughts and meditate at the same time while moving and simultaneously doing well for your body and your brain.

Let me know what are the ways how you make yourself feel better instantly? I know that the real problems and unsatisfaction can have much deeper roots and also require much more work on getting them fixed but for the short while, when you just can’t seem to get to feel better, try all you can think of to get yourself feel better. Even the simplest of problems might look huge and unsolvable if you have the wrong attitude and are feeling down.

Have a great beginning of the week dear readers! Much love to each of you!

I work from home so I don’t need to dress up every day. So when I feel inspired I absolutely love to put a nice outfit on or to treat my self with some time off to join a walk outside! xx

I absolutely love your look Princess! The red touch is also adorable and I like your tips…I always do that when I feel a bit low, especially the walk! When I can’t walk I ride my home bike or I exercise with weights. Many kisses

Well everybody deserves to feel better than they used to be. I like long walks the most, the time you can just think quietly. These are massively helpful.

How I make myself feel better when I’m feeling down is I switch up my weekly routines. For example, waking up in the morning, getting ready for work, then lunch time, then more work, then home, etc. it can get exhausting and almost depressing in my opinion. So what I like to do is switch it up and go to the gym in the mornings, make some breakfast and relax before I have to get ready for work. Then after work I will go have sushi with my husband or go out for drinks with my girls.
    Thanks for your advice!

Going out for a long walk works for me too, and if it’s with my little dog even more, and I’ve loved the smiling and making someone smile, I’ve loved it.

And no matter how well we all go, we all have bad days, just don’t get carried away by them ^^

My three ways of feeling better are:
Walking or going out in general (it also helps a lot to have a drink with a friend ^^)
    Meditate with relaxing music
I think I’ll take that one of you to smile and try to make someone smile 😀
