No alarm clock ringing… I’m slowly waking up naturally and making my way out of the bed to the kitchen. I’m putting my water to warm up and cutting up the lemon. I’m opening the windows and the sun shines beautifully, birds are chirping, pigeons are gagging and the locals are having random conversations just under the window.
Apartment is so peaceful and I have my wonderful “me” moment of just being present in the moment and not giving a damn about anything else but squeezing my lemons into the lukewarm water.
This is how all of my mornings have started for the past 22 days! I can’t believe that I’ve been here for 3 weeks already. Feels like it’s been 3 days… I’m telling you guys, Croatia is such a paradise place, big retreat for heart, body and soul. The fact that I’m staying in a small city, but very lively one, makes me feel so privileged and disconnected from the rest of the world in the best way possible.
My main “concerns” over the past 3 weeks were which ice cream stand we were going to get our ice cream from today and which beach should we head out to today. 😀
The only touch with something more glamorous and of a “modern world” was my visit to D Marin marina in Sukosan, nearby city Zadar. This beautiful beach club served us perfectly as a backdrop for the outfit photos. I must say that I’ve been loving this red polka dot dress! I feel so feminine and retro chic in it.
I hope that you’ve been all having wonderful June so far. I must say that I haven’t been posting nearly as much here as I thought that I would but then again, I felt that I should only write when I feel like and post what I want, when I want. Being real and spontaneous and not scheduled and commercial is what I strive for with this blog. 🙂
Thank you for all of the support, it means a lot!
