Dear readers, I’d like to wish you a peaceful and beautiful Christmas. May it be the best one so far, filled with smiles and cheers of your loved ones as well as lots of cozy moments at home, by the Christmas tree and delicious food at the Christmas table.
In the middle of this whole hustle and bustle around Christmas time and having to wrap up so much work, home errands and what not, it came in super handy to get a nice treat delivered by Foodora, the food delivery service which originates from Berlin but is successfully operating in many different countries, including Finland.
I’ve been writing about my experience with Foodora in a few previous posts like here and here. Since darkness and cold have been pretty much an “everyday life” in Helsinki for a while now, I’ve been craving just warm, comfort food all the time.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year they say… I couldn’t but notice this weekend that magic has been bit “thrown” aside and the craziness of shopping everything and anything, pushing in the overcrowded shops and such has taken over everybody… Everywhere!
While I’m “guilty” of shopping last minute for the Christmas presents and thinking of people whom I love and what I want them to receive on these holidays… I had to just stop for a moment and think of what is it that Christmas is all about? What is the true essence of it?
Good Friday everybody! How are you doing? Are you excited about Christmas? I’m almost done shopping for all of the Christmas presents, I have sent out all of my Christmas cards and am impatiently waiting for the night of 24th! 😀 I don’t have any big or super interesting plans for the Christmas day(s), just a lot of chilling, listening to my fave Christmas album by M.Buble, some good food, mulled wine and the best of company around should seal the deal. 😀
This Thursday I have a short, but sweet and hopefully inspiring post! I’ve created two different looks led by an idea of presenting how to style a pair of jeans affordable and more expensive way.
Besides these two inspiration boards, I have prepared a giveaway for you in collaboration with Pandora jewellery/ Pandora Nordics.
Look at that, less than 2 weeks left until Christmas! The countdown is “on”! As I have already mentioned, I’ve been loving seeing the Christmas lights, decorations, etc. all over the city and am still in the process of decorating my own home for Christmas too. We got a small Christmas tree with some girly ornaments and all that needs to be done is to take some chilled back moment with my daughter to put it all up nicely.
If you wish to follow my daily adventures and small highlights of any random day, do follow me on @natakar Instagram profile. There will be also great giveaways starting as of today, so keep your eyes on it! 🙂 One of the things I’ll be giving away is a star of today’s outfit, but I won’t reveal it all just yet. 😀
Good Sunday morning my darlings! Seeing that you’ve been loving my “Sunday cafe” column and the idea of introducing you to various young and inspiring individuals living in Finland who’re not originally from here is very flattering and motivating. I’m happy to bring in more posts/ guests to my Sunday cafe.
Everybody, please say hello to Jad! It’s been less than a year ago that I’ve met this precious jewel of a friend! Pretty quickly we’ve realised that we had not only many friends in common, but also a lot of personality, dreams and interests that were in common too. 🙂
I’m truly thankful to have Jad in my life… He’s one of those friends I’d “put my hand in the fire” for! Read on what Jad has to say about himself:
It’s time for a gourmet moment on my blog! I’d like to share one of my childhood favourite dishes has been mussels in a white wine, more known to Mediterranean people as “buzara sauce”. This dish is so simple to prepare, but very rich in flavour and even though, it doesn’t look like there is much to eat, it does fill you up very well!
Time… Took me by my wings, kept me places and surrounded by the souls I was not prepared to travel to or meet. Time also brought me to places and got me to meet souls who have been such an essence of my life. Some places and people will make you feel as if the time has stopped or at least you forget about checking your watch and can barely hear that little ticking reminding us that each tick-tock makes our star dust made bodies older and more vulnerable, closer to it’s expiration date.
Good Sunday dear readers! I’m back with my Sunday cafe in which I’m happy to present you young and inspiring creative minds which I’ve met here in Finland that aren’t Finnish or in today’s “case” a wonderful persona in form of my brother, somebody who’s been visiting Finland for many years and has been influenced by it in numerous ways.
I have two brothers and I was lucky to have my older brother stay with me for the whole month of November. I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to sit down with this young gentleman and “attack” him with some questions for Sunday cafe. I’m proud of you bro and I love you! This is what he has to say to my “interrogating”:
