My stay at Hoxton Shoreditch hotel

October 27, 2017

Hoxton Shoreditch hotel has been a very well known and situated hotel in London’s fast growing, “coolest” area – Shoreditch. It’s been only 1 year ago that the hotel got completely revamped and is at the moment one of the top hip places to hang out at, be it for a precisely made cocktails by the skilful baristas or a work meeting, you might find yourself returning to Hoxton week after week. 🙂

For a traveller like myself, who has certain standards and will always choose a fancy hotel over an Airbnb or similar, I’m very picky when it comes to where I choose to stay at. Hoxton Shoreditch hotel became of an interest to me after researching more about this part of town. Shoreditch, known previously as na “outcast”, too hippy or not that interesting part of London but about 2 years ago it all changed. Especially now, after some really cool and competitive hotels have opened right next to Hoxton, Shoreditch has become a gem, think NYC’s Brooklyn! So many cool and very unique shops are there, tons of interesting restaurants, endless 2nd hand and vintage shops where you can find some of the most incredible items, food markets, etc. are exactly in that area.

While it’s super cool area to hang out at and stay at, I’d say that I love how laid-back vibe and effortlessly cool style associated with this area stayed present even after the “big scene change”. Same applies to Hoxton Shoreditch hotel, very fine and glam-chic hotel lobby awaits for you as you enter the hotel. Friendly and helpful receptionists will make sure that your check in is quick and that you get your room asap. If you’re lucky, you might get an upgrade to one of their few “concept rooms” designed by the local artists, all 9 of them being unique in looks and vibe!

I have stayed in one and while it was small and cozy, I have loved the rooftop vibes from my window, funky wallpaper, spacious bathroom and a warm greeting on my desk in form of popcorn and chocolate! Lucky gal! 😀

I didn’t had time to try Hoxton Grill’s cuisine but I did had a chance to try their cocktails and feel the vibe of a Friday night out. All I can say is that I have absolutely loved it! 🙂 The crowd which comes to Hoxton is the coolest mix of personalities I’ve seen in a while.

I have to especially thank to the professional and helpful staff of the hotel for meeting any of the requests I’ve had and for organising me a smooth and comfortable private rides from and to the hotel. I’d highly suggest you to use this service as they will get you a great rate and you’ll save yourself time and nerves trying to get to the airport by relaying on the black cab or black cab + train + subway, esp. during the rush hours or a holidays/ peak season.

All in all, due to everything above mentioned, it’s vicinity to the city centre and all of the main attractions in the city, if you are looking for a perfect stay during your visit to London, I can warmly suggest you to give Hoxton Shoreditch a try, you will love it! 🙂
