From my usual “Good morning everybody!”, I am going to start this post by writing good afternoon dear people from all over the world who stop by daily to check out this blog and which new posts I have prepared for you. After being completely “delusional” for over a week and fighting a super nasty virus, today is the first day that I feel much better and can think clearly again.
Welcome to the first “Sunday cafe” this year. I’m very happy to continue introducing you to the bunch of unique, inspiring and talented people and friends that I’m surrounded by which are fully “adopted” Finns as myself. 🙂
Good Friday everybody! The beginning of this year didn’t start off as productively for my blog as I have hoped for it. Being sick for this whole week and on a strict bed rest, I haven’t had time and energy to produce anything. I’ve been just laying in bed, being super sick and miserable, making only one “trip” out of the bed and it was to the toilet and back.
Travelling… Something I’ve been a “fan” of since the first trip I ever took and it was when I was only few months old. 😀 First trip which I clearly remember was when I was about 8-9 years old and have travelled to Moscow, Russia with my mom and sister to visit our Russian family and relatives.
My mom always said that I was the easiest kid to travel with because you could literally “pack” me into a suitcase and send me off anywhere and I’d be happy! I was such an explorer since the early age and even though I have travelled a lot in the past 29 years, I still haven’t seen even a glimpse of what I want to see around the world.
Good Friday morning everybody! Besides already being on holidays in Croatia, today is an official holiday day so I won’t be chit-chatting for too long as I still have some of my best friends to meet, prepare and eat a family lunch and possibly take a walk outdoors in the evening if the weather allows.
Happy 2017 everybody!!! First post of the new year is here and I wanted to take my time writing it to make sure that I’m publishing the right material. I’m visiting Croatia at the moment and am happy to start this year by travelling and taking some well deserved time off.
I’ve spent couple of days in the capital city, Zagreb and was so happy to meet some of my oldest friends as well as have a coffee with some of my Croatian blogging colleagues. The weather is beautiful and even though it’s been cold, the bright daylight and occasional sun rays made a world of difference in how energetic and happy I feel.
Good morning my dear readers! I can’t believe that a whole another year is coming to a full circle – to it’s end. Today is the last day, less than 24 hours left until we enter new year, 2017! What are your plans for tonight? Are you staying in and keeping it low key, maybe going out for dinner or are you up for a full night of partying with friends? 🙂 I’m doing it “grandma” style this year since I’m sick with flu and am going for a trip so I try to get well and stay warm and still. 😀
In the beginning of this month a long awaited 5th floor in Kamppi shopping mall got a huge facelift or shall I say a complete makeover?! Everybody was waiting for many months to see the final reveal of “Kortteli”. After years of having a dull, not well used space with a ton of potential it finally got completely redesigned and the space got filled with a so called food block.
Dear 2016, I’m breaking up with you and I’m happy to do so… Dear 2016, you’ve been a very strange, exhausting year, you’ve hurt me and so many of those whom I love… You took away too many precious lives, smiles, happiness, things and brought way too much darkness and struggles.
Dear readers, I’d like to wish you a peaceful and beautiful Christmas. May it be the best one so far, filled with smiles and cheers of your loved ones as well as lots of cozy moments at home, by the Christmas tree and delicious food at the Christmas table.
